KidSport Dodgeball Tournament

Who doesn’t love a good game of dodgeball – especially when it’s to support a fantastic local cause? Our Community Service committee hosted a Dodgeball Tournament at Pitt River Middle School on Friday, May 8 to help raise money for Tri-Cities KidSport, so that all children in the Tri-Cities can enjoy the fun and benefits of organized sports.

Overall, nearly 100 participants came together to raise a grand total of $1,168.36 for the cause! Thank you to all of our players for coming out and supporting us #SoAllKidsCanPlay!

One of the scavenger hunt tasks involved purchasing a hot beverage to warm up a Salvation Army volunteer.

Members of our group spent the afternoon running around the Tri-Cities area to perform random acts of kindness for both strangers and people who serve our local communities. Among the tasks that we performed were:

  • Delivering flowers to workers at Eagle Ridge Hospital
  • Bringing Timbits to police officers
  • Giving balloons to young children
  • Purchasing a hot drink for a Salvation Army volunteer
  • Serenading a group of strangers
  • Picking up litter

Thank you to Brianne and Rasmeet for organizing the event, and to Kevin, Anabelle, Eric, Raj, Chantal, Adam, Janelle and Jordan for participating!
